Guess whos back.... back again....

If you are now bobbing your head to the corresponding Eminem song that matches those words, give yourself a pat on the back. Aren't you thrilled to learn we have similar taste in music? I mean what suburban, SUV driving mom of four doesn't rock out to Eminem, right? Don't answer that.

So yes, after a LONG LONG time, i am knocking the dust off this blog and going to fill your screen with the ramblings of an over worked, slightly quirky, mom of quads. There are a few other choice descriptions i came up with for myself that would work to. Such hits as germ hating, schedule worshiping, two job balancing, sarcasm throwing, ex Hooters working, whip cream food fighting, list making, inappropriate speaking, make up hating, overwhelmed mother of 4 year old quadruplets.

If you got any of those above references, you are either a long time blog reader (virtual high five to you) or may have seen me recently on a little show called "Texas Multi Mamas" on WeTV. Either way, thanks for knowing me so well.

The last time i blogged was after my annual quad mom trip with 15 of my favorite people on this planet! The love i have for these ladies can not be described. We are like sisters. Warms my heart just thinking about them. Well that was about 8 months ago so i will do my best to catch you up on all the "going ons" of our little Gerwer family. But ill be honest, I don't have an extra 12 spare hours right now to catch you up all at once, so it will be bit by bit. But it will happen... oh yes, it will.

For those of you new to the blog, I will have to catch you up quickly. Because unless you are bored, have tons of time and want to read the last four years of my journaling from my pregnancy to present, ill give you the short version. I am what some may say a little different, over protective, mildly controlling when it comes to my kids. I feel the need to show you just one example of why...

On a completely serious note...This is me, holding Reid, when she weighed 1 lb 12 oz at 6 days old (first time they allowed me to hold her). At this moment, in this chair, their doctor whom i trust with all my heart, stood there and said "you and Robbie's only job now is to protect these miracles, because they truly are miracles". And that is what we did. And will ALWAYS do. Its hard for people to understand my fear of germs or my need to control my kids environment but that is what i was instantly conditioned to do when i looked down at these tiny, unreal bodies of the four strongest people i have ever met (and the coolest part is they are OURS, OMG we are so blessed). If you want to see more from this time in our lives, check out this blog post or go back to early 2008, when our kiddos were born. It will help many people understand why i am how i am.

Alrighty, now that we cleared that up, lets start with summer 2011. And a HOT summer it was! So many cool things happened, like 3 out of the 4 learned to swim on their own. SO AMAZING! Guess who's holding out? Anyone?

Here is a glimpse of our family this summer....

First, for those who missed it... the Mavs became NBA Champs! We couldnt be more proud, neither could our dogs Dallas & Maverick. Over 10 years ago, Robbie and I had our first date at a Mav's game and the rest is history. So the kids had to have their picture made while screaming "DDDDDIIIIIRRRRKKKKKKKKK". Naturally.

Another sign of earlier this year, the phenomenon planking...yep, i was one of those people who thought it was HILARIOUS! So did my kids apparently. When i showed them how to do it, they cracked up laughing. Cameron is seen taking it quite seriously. That a girl Cam, just like your mommy!!!

Every year our kids and us walk/ride in our neighborhoods Fourth of July parade. Its so fun and OOOOHHHH so hot! This year they rode their tricycles through the parade almost the whole way! Thanks to my sis in law, Amy and mother in law, Janet for helping us with man on man defense during the festivities!

Stopping to enjoy the parade. Who are we kidding we were stopping to let all the big kids by, we were slowing up traffic!

Highlight of the day, sitting in a fire truck. So awesome!

Daddy enjoying a sweaty hug and some water with the foursome. Nothing says lets enjoy the heat like a good cuddle!

Reid and Levi (one of our best friends super sweet sons) after a good swim. Aww what a cute couple!

Trey armed with these squirt guns that were my nemesis this summer. I love my in laws but they should have kept these in their pool. This boy has quite the aim when mommy is dressed in white shorts ready to go out with her friends and runs outside to say by to daddy. Yep, that happened.

Awww sweet Reid. While this girl is BY FAR my biggest challenge lately, her cute face makes it so hard to be mad. As Robbie has said to me right after she cried because she got sent to time out.. "with that face, its so unfair for us". :) Sweet Daddy's girl! You've come a long way teeny tiny!

My diva, my mini me. This girl can walk into any room and entertain the masses. Shes got a spark about her that everyone just loves. Lets see how much i love this spark when shes 14!

My four outside one of my BFF's houses, Amy-Jo.

So sweet, love this pic, my kids with the Sather kids! Melt my heart!

So much more to share but for now i must sleep. I PROMISE (and mean it this time), to not leave you hanging and to come back. I will post about Robbie & I in Chicago, family photo shoot, Starting school, Halloween, Christmas and of course, Texas Multi Mamas!

I would like to thank you all right now for all your support with Texas Multi Mamas. It was a pretty crazy time for us and I don't think you ever get used to seeing yourself on TV. Short lived as it was, it was an experience like none other and we have met some of the most AMAZING people and fans of the show! You guys are so sweet and hearing your stories of motherhood too have been so amazing! Thank you for letting us monopolize your TV's for Tuesday evenings for a bit. It means a lot to us!

Much love,
Casey

Bluebonnet Pictures!!

Because running about 3 months behind is probably the cool thing to do (sarcasm), here are our bluebonnet pictures by the ever so talented Sarah Toth!

Bluebonnet pictures are a Texas tradition. Being that i am the world's worst Texan (IE. i have never owned cowboy boots, didn't go to the state fair til i was 26, don't like the Dallas Cowboys and have NEVER done bluebonnet pics before this year, and so on and so on), I had to get my kids involved in this typically dangerous (seriously, almost always located next to highways, really?) tradition.

Our silly foursome! The wind was a bit strong that day, but not quite as strong as the attitudes that these three year olds possessed that day. WOW Sarah has patience!

Reid being goofy... shock

Here is our foursome with their cutie "cousin" Baby Adam. Whats funny is Baby Adam is bigger than all of them by 5 lbs and is half their age. Kind of funny. I think they will call him Baby Adam til he graduates high school, i bet he will love that!

Trey taking photos very seriously this day...

"Run guys, hurry, its every quad for themselves!"

"Yeah, right mom, and let you off that easy! WERE BACK!"

Sweet flirtatious Brady

Cameron. So crazy her hair almost looks red in this photo.

Pictures say a thousand words, but this one only says one. REID!

Okay here's the sweeter version!

Robbie, i mean Trey! Lovin his mohawk. This kid is handsome and cleans... thats right, im creating the perfect man, Nobel Prize here i come!

More coming soon. Who am i kidding, more coming as soon as i can get to it! But i do have lots to post. Girls started gymnastics, the are all doing swim lessons, summer fun and much more!

Love, Case

Okay bunny... enough already...

Hope everyone had an Easter full of family, good times and massive sugar highs (and come downs, agh). We enjoyed a great family day. Started at church, then egg hunt after, back to our house, another easter egg hunt, go to grammys, ANOTHER easter egg hunt... Seriously... That Easter bunny gets around!
Our kids have grown up a lot since last Easter so this year was a lot more fun (and fighting, its what 3 year olds do best)!
I'll let Robbie do the honor of the captions below. Why not, who doesnt enjoy a good "Robbie point of view".

It wasn't even sunny outside, but for some reason, we were all squinting. When you have quads, not a whole lot makes much sense.

It was a windy out there, but more importantly, doesn't it look like Trey has his face smashed up against a window?

They blew the whistle for everyone to go get eggs. So Casey took off, and left us all behind.

No, the boys and I didn't plan on wearing the same outfit. It just worked out that way. And if you believe that, than yes, the Easter Bunny was also definitely in our backyard.

Brady said he has been waiting 3 long years for a Transformer. Then someone crinkled some paper and he threw down the Transformer and said he's been waiting 3 long years for crinkling paper.

UNICORN!

Reid: Hey boys, don't mind this blue egg right here. I am SURE there are more eggs waaaaaay over there. Go over there and take a look.

I don't know if Trey is taking a sharp turn for the yellow egg on the right, or bearing down on Brady for a scrambled Easter Egg collision.

A post-dinner romp thru the neighborhood, while Casey stayed back to make dessert. Then we came back and noticed some vodka was missing, and no dessert. Weird....

Clearly, the Easter Bunny had a stomach ache last night. He sprayed eggs all over this area of the yard. Watch out for the brown eggs.

In the seconds it took to take this photo, Reid picked up twenty eggs. Serious.

Cameron figures its easier to pose for pictures than actually bend over to pick up eggs. (Probably waiting for someone else to come by so she can tell them what to do.)

Why is everyone resting?? There are more eggs over there. GO GO GO GO !!!!

This is me next to a cardboard cutout of Cameron. Life-like, right?

We moved the cutout to the porch.

Sometime during the egg hunt, Trey aged 2.5 years.

Aunt Amy and Brady. Brady is getting pretty good at showing off the baby blues.

"Doesnt this candy look tasty? You cant have any, but you can admire it from afar."

Trey showing off his stash.

Grammy got everyone a stuffed animal for Easter. Here is Reid stealing them all. Whats funnier is that it was better to catch it on film then stop her from doing it.

Pinwheel, pinwheel, spinning around. Look at my pinwheel and see what I found.... Anyone else remember that one?

Dammit Case. They noticed us sitting over here in peace.

Yay.... We're so glad you noticed us sitting over here....

"Sure could use some wind right now."

Cameron decides to challenge the bush to a starring contest. Winner unknown. But I'll give the nod to Cameron for effort.

Aunt Amy giving an airplane ride. Don't mind me in the background throwing a tennis ball at Amy.

Reid: "Aunt Amy, I'll play along, but I swear on everything, I better not drop this stuffed animal!!"

Brady gets his turn for a ride with Aunt Amy. Apparently this was offered to everyone else. I didnt get a ride. How was that overlooked? Not fair.
