Weighed 1 lbs 15 oz (was our smallest) and 13.5 inches long

Reid Josie Gerwer. AKA. Teeny Tiny. We call her that and so do her siblings. What a firecracker! Though we didn't know that about her when we were trying to think up here name. Unfortunately, in utero i felt her the least. So picking out her name was tough. We both really liked the name Reid but had our boy's names nailed down. Robbie asked if i would consider it as a girls name and i LOVED IT! I love unisex names! When it came to middle names, Josephine was a perfect match in my book. Robbie DID NOT LIKE IT! So Josie it was, short for the name i liked and now that we know her, she is SOOOOOO Reid Josie!

Everyday Reid keeps us on our toes!

Early on...
- Reid was labeled as Baby D but came out as Baby B.
- Her placenta was anterior so i couldn't feel her much so i worried all the time about her
- She was always our smallest on the inside
- Reid was the reason we delivered. Our last weekly sonogram determined that she had placenta priva and was losing weight. We were terrified to say the least and just prayed she would be okay through delivery and in the NICU
- She was our smallest at birth and still is today
- For being the smallest, she was FEISTY. The NICU docs agreed! She was the first on room air and the first to take a bottle.
- AND the first to be sent home from the NICU weighing 4 lbs 14 oz
- She was a DREAM baby. The easiest of the four, for sure. She was always last to eat because she was the most patient, poor baby
- Lil bit was our first to crawl and walk and run. She is always on the go and has been since she started crawling at 9 months

Physical Attributes...
- Reid is TEENY TINY. She is our second tallest but has always been our lightest child
- Her curly hair is AMAZING!!! 95% of the time its in near perfect ringlets all over her head. And her hair style completely fits her personality
- She has very long legs and they are total bird legs
- Poor girl has been through the ringer with her teeth already, she fell right around 15 months on tile (on mommy's watch ;() and mangled her two front teeth. Tons of pieces were broken off and it looked like we would use her mouth as a can opener. And last week, she had one of those teeth pulled because it was dying and there was so much damage from all her falls. So poor girl is sporting only one front tooth. She's fine with it, I'm taking it harder :)
- Reid has deep blue eyes, not the really light blue kind but the darker blue, they are beautiful!
- Her smile is CONTAGIOUS! Despite her teeth mess, she can melt your heart in less than a second. Seriously, she has a way about her. To watch her melt her daddy's daily is so great! WATCH OUT WHEN SHES A TEENAGER!

Personality...
- Fearless, in most things anyways. She wants to be thrown, jumping, upside down or what ever extreme sports toddlers can do. But this is also why she has had so many accidents that have ended her up in the ER (concussion, split open eye, staples in the back of her head, etc.)
- She loves to be goofy, dress funny, be tickled, make funny faces or sounds
- She gives the BEST hugs, tight around your neck, she hugs you with everything she has got, LOVE THEM
- She is a button pusher amongst the kids. She will run in and steal toys and run away laughing. She likes to tease and knows she can run the fastest so shes safe doing so. Tisk Tisk little Reid
- DADDY'S GIRL!!!! She looks at him like hes the only person on earth, its super sweet
- Very light sleeper. She needs her sleep because she is constantly moving but she wakes up almost every time i go in to check on her. But she always goes back to sleep
- One of our best eaters. We often wonder where she puts it all!
- Generally our best behaved child. Yes she has had her tough phases but she has the least amount of them
- Gets her feelings hurt easily if you raise your voice at her
- She jumps or runs everywhere, never any walking
- Shy in public and in front of the camera

Likes...
- She sleeps with a super Grover but LOVES penguins and sleeps with two of those too.
- To dress up in dress up clothes, necklaces, purses, bracelets, she cant get enough. And she will always tell you how pretty she is
- Loves to tell stories and be very verbal
- Babies and other children the most out of our kiddos
- LOVES LOVES LOVES swimming. Or anything with water for that matter, sprinklers, baths, etc. Shes all over it!
- Loves cars and trains, almost or more than the boys. She almost always is carrying a hot wheels with her
- LOVES to collect little things, hair ties, socks, balls, very much a collector
- Really likes dogs and animals in general, not scared of any of them
- FLOWERS!!! This girl is crazy for flowers, picking them, finding them in books, smelling them
- Loves her Trey... I almost feel like they communicate differently together, they are very close

Dislikes/Habits...
- She is a two finger sucker :( We have been trying to start working on this but it will be a long process i feel
- Does not like getting her picture taken by ANYONE
- Not very cooperative when having her diaper changed
- Does not like strangers or men in general (except her daddy, poppy and grandpa)
- DOCTORS OFFICES AT ALL(I think with all her medical issues for that year we worried about her hormone issues, she developed a SEVERE dislike for them)

Reid, our little angel. You were the reason you delivered, you were watching out for all of you and me. You are sunshine on dark days oh so often. We are so proud of the fight you possess and the love you have for your siblings! LOVE YOU TEENY TINY!

Reid just after she was born. She was such a fighter, they had to wrap her up because she kept pulling her cords out.


Me getting to hold her while she ate. She only weighed 1 lbs 12 oz here and was 10 days old. Can not BELIEVE she was ever so tiny! My little fighter!
