Apologize in advance for picture overload, this is what happens when I go so long between posts!
Last weekend Robbie and I got to get on a weekend getaway with his family and some friends to Lake Travis. Had a great time. And of course, being there took me back to my Quad mom trip often, even took the jet ski passed our house! And Robbie and I were able to sneak away the last night to one of our favorite resorts for some alone time and R & R before returning home to our kiddos. One of my most favorite days with my hubby ever.

And earlier in the weekend, while we were staying at the lake house, we got to catch some time out with some of our best friends in the world, Clay & Raelyn (and Cameron's Godparents). We usually are together with our kiddos so it was nice to have some adult time with our friends.
Me and my handsome hubby

Raelyn & me

Robbie and Clay shown here in the ONLY picture they weren't being goofy in or making funny faces... Seriously they act like little boys together!

After our weekend break, we came home to our SWEET, WONDERFUL (most of the time, come on they are 2.5 after all) children... They act so grown up day after day. Asking us now for big kid beds, potties, spelling words, singing songs they hear on he radio, it cracks us up. ESPECIALLY the conversations they have with each other. SO funny!
L to R: Reid, Brady, Cameron, Trey. And yes, Brady is about an inch shorter than everyone else but the way hes standing against the garage here, it looks like a lot more! Poor boy, hoping for some massive growth spurts.

The girls just love their brothers...

And though they try to act like tough little boys, they love their sisters too!

Friday I was looking for something for us to do in air conditioning but OUTSIDE the house. We have had cabin fever big time this week because of the temps and ozone alerts. So we decided to head out and visit SOME of the WONDERFUL people at Presby who were with me the whole way through our journey with the quads. These people cared of me and the kids SOOO much and were our biggest fans. And still are. We love them with all of our heart. And it is so surreal to see the NICU staff, my fertility doc and our fetal medicine doc playing with my 2.5 year olds... I really just sat there and thought about how much has happened and how far we have all come... Such a blessing!
Dr. D from the NICU was AMAZING with our kids. Hearing his voice giving me updates on the kids during the delivery is one of the only sounds i remember during my surgery. And to make it more special, it was his 40th birthday on the day our quads were born. So they share a birthday and a very special birthday for all involved at that. We visit whenever we can and love that they remember details of our kids stay and who did what. Not only are they special to me and my kids but my kids are special to them. LOVE YOU GUYS SO MUCH!!!! We are happy and healthy today because of you guys! Thank you Thank you Thank you for all you have done for us!
We were able to capture a quick pick of Dr. D with the kids before he had to go back to helping all the precious babies.

And I had to get a picture of my kiddos with our dear friend Kathy Berry! She was the kids social worker and was INCREDIBLE in helping us with so many things, support, bills, insurance stuff, EVERYTHING! I STILL come to her with questions and she always helps me!!!

The AMAZING INCREDIBLE Dr. Karen Lee. I can not even tell you how much i love this woman. I still miss her (though i don't miss going through infertility treatments)! She would come visit me in the hospital, came to my kids birthdays, and i talk to her whenever i can. We LOVE her for what she was able to do for us, to help us have the beautiful family we have today. I owe her so much. AND the kids had a BLAST playing with her and the office staff. Though we may have scared the poor woman in the waiting room by having our quads there :).

And to reward the kids for being SOOOO well behaved, we stopped for a quick lunch at McDonalds. This was the first time my kids have ever experienced McDonalds. I put all my concerns about what they eat and my fear of germs on the shelf for the 30 minutes we were there and let them enjoy themselves. They were perfect little angels there (truly, one of their best mornings in quite some time) and sat and ate like big kids. Even tried their first hamburger (girls liked, boys didn't). And the AMAZING Adrienne (they call her Anya and have since she has been with us when they turned 1) was there to help me coral kids while we walked around the hospital all morning making stops (we visited others there, just wasn't great about taking pics). And as you can see Adrienne's little girl, Natalie (still in utero) was in tow too :)

And today we had AN AWESOME family day. SOO GREAT!!!
We visited a Big Cat animal sanctuary (a place where they keep and help rescued Lions, Tigers, Cougars, and other wild animals). I was shocked at how many they had (like 50 of them). You can get fairly close to the cages (with a safe area between) and the kids thought it was so cool!!! Despite the high temps, the kids did great. AND of course, i was so scared about letting go of there there, i didn't get a picture. Next time for sure! As we will go back!
After our fun morning and a good nap, we hit the pool to cool off. I'm sorry, did i say cool off, the water was 93 degrees! Its August alright. But the kids and us had a blast either way. They are do so great with their puddle jumpers and act like such independent big kids. They are even jumping off the diving board now! (don't worry, we stand and spot)
My boys, daddy doing the catching and the boys jumping off the side. Brady in green, Trey in blue.

Cam isnt a huge fam of swimming so i got a couple pics of her playing outside the pool. Seen here smiling, but boy has this girl been tough on her mama lately.

Reid who DOES NOT like the camera... This was the best i could do. She always just says "no pictures". I swear, she acts as though shes followed by paparazzi or something.

Daddy and his mini me, i mean seriously, they are looking more and more alike every day. But Trey does have some of mommy's personality (and he shares my love for cleaning too).

Resident giggle box, Brady goofing off with Daddy

Despite what she thinks, Reid cant really fly but Daddy likes to help her feel like she can.

Trey on a mission

Unfortunately, Cam is in a bit of a funk for quite some time now, so this is what she looks like (unhappy and crying) most of the time. Daddy wanted a picture with her but this was the best he was going to get out of her at the moment.

Daddy doing a trick while the kids swim. I think its funny to see the colored polka dots swimming around the pool...

Another Reid siting, she slowed down for a second so i had to capture the moment.

Here is Trey being a big boy and jumping off the diving board. He loves it!!

Cam NOT SO MUCH... We dont want to push her, and she does NOT like going under water. Hoping that changes in time. I have 3 daredevils and Cameron, not such a thrill seeker!

Reid and her daddy before they jumped off together

Reid likes to jump off with no help. "No Reid do it". My girls are SUPER independent. But she jumps out far enough and is very proud of herself and we are always right next to her. She is scared of NOTHING this girl when it comes to thrills and tricks. Terrifies me!

Brady jumping off, he cant get enough either. So funny, 6 months ago, i would have never pegged him as a daredevil but boy is he now!

Daddy and Trey jumping together. To my kids the higher the better... They are so crazy!!!!

More fun planned this week and weekend... Hope everyone has a great week!
Love, Casey

So glad you had such an amazing weekend, you deserve it! The kids are stinkin adorable, as usual! Love you :)
Love all the pictures! Can you tell me where you got the kids' float things? Those look great! My little girl would love some freedom, she's always pushing my hands away from holding her belly while she "swims".

The pics with their arms around eachother..PRICELESS!!!
Seriously..those are so stinking cute!
Love all the pool shots!!
FYI..there are never "too" many pics of the Gerwers in a post! Keep em coming girl!! :)
Too cute! Love your pool. Was curious, why do the kids wear shoes in the pool and what are those rocks sitting on edge of the little pool for?
Questions answered:
Anon reader: No not yet but we are close, they are asking to (they have seen friends using it). I have one that is no where close to ready though so i was hoping that will change soon. want to wait also til we are done wiht all our summer activities and will be spending more time in the house.
Crystal: Puddle Jumpers are AWESOME! I got mine at Tom Thumb at the beginning of the summer but i know Amazon has them. So much freedom in the pool. My kids hated me holding them before.
Beckah: The kids wear "aqua socks" or water shoes because the deck is hot when tehy get out and also since they like to jump off the diving board, they tend to drag their feet a bit, best things ever for our kids. Im not sure what rocks your talking about, maybe the rock waterfall we have on one side of the pool, we have a lagoon style pool so its supposed to look like natural waterscapes.
I have been seeing Dr Lee off and on for 4 years now..finally getting "serious". When we were at her office a few weeks ago I saw a picture of your kiddos and said to myself "those are the Gerwers!" we too LOVE her!!
Adore the photo of Cam smiling outside of the pool and the one of Reid and her big smile as Robbie holds her in the air. Cute!
